M. Macha Nightmare
M. Macha NightMare (Aline O'Brien), a priestess and witch, is an author, teacher and ritualist, with a penchant for collaboration. An initiate, and among the founders of, Reclaiming Tradition Witchcraft, as well as Faery/Feri Tradition, Macha holds Elder credentials through The Covenant of the Goddess (CoG), the oldest and largest non denominational organization of Witches in the USA. A member since 1981, she is a former National First Officer and currently serves as a national interfaith representative.
NightMare represented Pagans on the Biodiversity Project Spirituality Working Group. She is a member of the American Academy of Religion (AAR), Nature Religions Scholars Network, Marin Interfaith Council, United Religions Initiative (URI), Interfaith Center of the Presidio (ICP), as well as serving on the Advisory Councils of the Sacred Dying Foundation and PEARL (Pagan Elders Assistance and Resource League). In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors of Cherry Hill Seminary.[1]. Her writing has appeared in many periodicals, and she has frequently spoken on behalf of the Craft in electronic and print media, and at colleges and universities. She teaches at Cherry Hill Seminary, an online Pagan seminary based in Columbia, South Carolina.
